When you subscribe to an OWBA membership, you are joining something similar to a BIA (Business Improvement Area) that businesses in other parts of Ottawa enjoy. Business Improvement Areas permit local businesses and property owners within a defined district to join together and, with the support of the municipality, organize, finance, improve and promote the area as a business district.
OWBA functions like a BIA for rural business on our ward.
Together We’re Stronger
A Strong United Voice
OWBA provides a united Osgoode Ward business voice to all levels of government and has direct contact with city, provincial and federal government officials. We offer assistance in addressing issues that affect local business.
Networking & Growth
OWBA offers the opportunity to network with other local businesses, connecting smaller businesses with larger, suppliers with consumers, home-based and agricultural businesses with traditional bricks-and-mortar operations.
Information & Resources
OWBA regularly hosts or helps promote informational seminars, workshops, round-tables, and expert speakers on matters that support your business success. Learn about many current and relevant topics as well as where to access key services.
Advertising & Promotion
With a strong and growing social media presence, OWBA promotes our member businesses on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn as well as on our website. We also offer affordable sponsorship opportunities at our hosted events. Planning an event of your own? Let us help get the word out.
Savings & Perks
Some OWBA members provide discounts to fellow members. We are working with member businesses to increase the number of membership discounts on many of the goods and services you use every day.
Our members have valuable input and we are working to build the value of your membership by implementing your ideas. Future enhancements to our website and other offerings will reflect concepts shared by our members. Let us know how we can support your business.
Get Our Newsletter
Even as a non-member you can subscribe to our newsletter and see what we are up to! Our events are open to everyone and all businesses can attend (at a cost for non-members). You can also benefit from getting announcements and updates from the City of Ottawa on development and other items affecting rural business. Find out about business-related community events too.
